General information!
Why is it important to present the induction?
- Because it is a legal obligation to inform you about the main risks of our organization.
- As a contractor you are also obliged to receive this induction where you are given details of the daily work in DVI, risks, requirements, main formats.
What is the validity of the induction?
- This voucher is valid for 1 year. We recommend you to present evidence or a screenshot of the evaluation result to speed up the reception process.
Who should take the induction?
- All your administrative and operational personnel (only the personnel that will enter IVC) when you are a new company.
- All new hires (even if they were previously with another company and have already taken induction).
What is the minimum passing grade?
- In order to be issued with the induction voucher, you must pass the exam with a score of 70
Information for contractors:
To secure your access as a contractor, you must comply with the following:
1.- INDUCTION.
Present the induction, remember that you must also pass the evaluation with a minimum of 70. All employees must present this induction without exception.
2.- PROGRAM OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED
You do this by submitting your work schedule electronically and updating it periodically.
3.- LIST OF VULNERABLE PERSONNEL
The list is in free writing, in the event that you have NO VULNERABLE PERSONS you must issue a document in free writing stating that you do not have vulnerable personnel providing services in IVC.
NOTE:
Any information, such as evidence of induction, program of work to be performed and list of vulnerable personnel or any questions you may have, can be communicated to EHS-IVC staff at the following email: ehs-ivc@ivcvidrio.com
Once you have communicated this information and based on the work program, EHS-IVC will share with you the internal forms and documents that you will be required to fill out during your workday.
Information for visitors:
To guarantee your access as a visitor, you must comply with the following:
1.- INDUCTION.
Present the induction, remember that you must also pass the evaluation with a minimum of 70. All employees must present this induction without exception.
2.-NOTICE TO PATRIMONIAL - IVC
Present your application form along with INE or Official ID.
3.- Confirmation from your host.
Your host or the person requesting your visit must inform Patrimonial of your arrival time and come to Gate 1 to greet you. Remember to wear your visitor's badge at all times.

How do I know if my activities at IVC are considered a visit?
To know this you should see the list below, where we consider as a visitor those who come to perform:
-Technical visits that do not involve the development of activities (example: tour to quote).
-Commercial visits or for meeting purposes.
-Visits for plant events or audits.-Supply of materials, spare parts and raw materials (suppliers).

The minimum mandatory PPE for contractor or visiting personnel is:
-Safety helmet according to stipulated color (class E preferably).
-Transparent safety glasses (not smoked, not dark). For personnel wearing prescription lenses, they must wear prescription safety lenses or lenses over safety lenses, access is NOT allowed to personnel wearing only prescription lenses.
-Earplug.
-High visibility vest with company name and logo.
-Mandatory use of long sleeves.
-Denim / cotton pants without rips.
-Safety shoes.
The authorized helmet color for visitors or contractors is:
Red color:
Applies only to members of the Safety, Hygiene and Environment Department Contractor entering the facilities of Industria Vidriera de Coahuila.
Yellow color:
Applies only to all visitors entering the facilities of Industria Vidriera de Coahuila.
Color Orange
Applies only to all contractors providing services to Industria Vidriera de Coahuila, only EHS personnel will be exempted from the Orange color.

Supervisor EHS ¿Cómo saber si requiero alguno?
Remember that IVC Safety is fundamental and non-negotiable, that is why you must take into account the following conditions to contemplate an exclusive Safety, Hygiene and Environment staff:
1. In all civil works, equipment intervention, handling of energized devices, excavations, maneuvering and lifting of loads, electrical work, or any other type of work that is classified as high risk, this also includes the handling of heavy machinery, the contractor is obliged to have a Supervisor of Safety and Health at Work, Environment (OSH Supervisor hereinafter) in accordance with the following:
-01 - 20 people = 1 Supervisor
-21 - 40 people = 2 Supervisors
-41 - 60 people = 3 Supervisors
-61 - 80 people = 4 Supervisors
2. All EHS personnel must complete the knowledge and skills test (Prior to commencement of DVI activities). No work that addresses the scenarios in item 1 will be validated without qualified EHS personnel. Consider the following when scheduling your candidate:
1. The request for examination must be communicated only via e-mail before 10:00 AM of any working day of the week, in the "Subject" of the mail should be placed the legend "CANDIDATE FOR SECURITY SUPERVISOR NAME OF YOUR COMPANY" the body of the mail is free, you should only place or refer to the applicant by his full name.
2.Send only one email per candidate.
3.Attach the candidate's updated resume.
4.Attach evidence of the candidate's last degree.
5. In each application or mail, you must attach DC-3, DC-5, certifications, trainings, etc. updated that validate your technical competence as a security supervisor.
6.The candidate must present himself before 14:30 hours at Gate 1 to register his access and be in time for his evaluation, if the applicant company is already inside the facilities, a resident or site supervisor must receive the candidate.
7.Only 5 applicants will be accepted per session, you must wait for the confirmation from EHS-IVC with the date on which the candidate will be able to apply.
8.The minimum passing grade is 70/100. In case of failure and if it is the company's wish that the candidate retakes the exam, the following options are available:
9. An exam with a higher grade of difficulty may be taken within 7 days of the failed exam.
10.You can wait 3 months and your candidate can take the same type of exam.
Safety shoes
Personnel wearing safety shoes are not allowed access. The only authorized footwear will be industrial safety boot shoes (preferably anti-cut).
This is due to the characteristics of our process and the hot materials we encounter in operation. This provision will be non-negotiable and any personnel found wearing unauthorized shoes will be immediately removed from the work area.
With the above, the only exception to the industrial safety shoe will be:
The welder's safety boot.
This shall not have any type of denim cut, tennis type or any other type of shoe in common use.
Preferably the boot should be smooth.
